BPC-157 for Professionals

Medically supervised post-surgical recovery support for referring physical therapy and rehabilitation providers.

Overview

Thrive Primary Care provides a medically supervised subcutaneous BPC-157 program designed to support soft-tissue repair, decrease inflammation, and improve functional recovery after orthopedic surgery.

This resource is designed for PTs, ATCs, and rehabilitation providers who refer patients to Thrive for enhanced healing during their post-operative rehab process.

When to Refer a Patient

We accept referrals for patients who meet the following criteria:

• 2 weeks or more post-surgery
• Have completed their initial surgeon follow-up
• Have fully healed and closed incisions
• Starting or preparing to start physical therapy
• Have expected post-op stiffness, inflammation, or early pain
• Want to optimize healing during the critical first 12 weeks of tissue remodeling

If you’re unsure whether a patient is a candidate, we welcome your call.

Our Post-Surgical BPC-157 Protocol

Start: Post-operative Week 2

Duration: 3 months

Administration Route: Subcutaneous injection (abdomen or rotating injection sites)

How Thrive Partners With PT & Rehab Providers

Step 1 – Initial Medical Evaluation:
We review: Surgical procedure/timeline, early mobility and ROM, tissue quality and inflammation profile, patient-specific goals, current rehab status.

Step 2 – Protocol Initiation:
Patients receive clear dosing instructions, injection training, safety guidance, expected recovery milestones, and healing recommendations.

Step 3 – Ongoing Communication:
We provide the BPC-157 start date, dosing plan, clinical observations, rehab guidance, and recommendations for re-consultation. Collaboration is encouraged throughout the rehab process.

What PTs Should Monitor

We encourage PTs to track the following during the BPC-157 program:

• Pain levels (at rest, with motion, and with loading)
• ROM and mobility progression
• Tissue tolerance to loading
• Swelling or inflammation patterns
• Strength development
• Neuromuscular control
• Return-to-function benchmarks
• Any unusual or unexpected symptoms

If something seems off, PTs are encouraged to reach out to Thrive directly.
